This week at Little Forest Folk Morden has been full of child-led exploration, creativity and plenty of outdoor adventures. It’s been wonderful to see the children express themselves and take charge of their learning, all whilst having fun.
The children have been busy creating bug hotels, collecting natural materials from around the forest to build safe spaces for insects. This activity not only sparked their creativity but also gave them the chance to explore the importance of caring for our environment.
They’ve also spent time designing obstacle courses and building dens. With a favourite being a prison for all of the educators! It’s been amazing to watch the children work independently, using their imaginations and collaborating as a team to bring their ideas to life.
Our adventure walks have been a highlight of the week. From feeding ducks, running around, climbing trees, or collecting treasures like leaves and acorns, all of these experiences have helped with the children’s physical development as well as teaching them about the world around them.
Overall, it's been a week filled with creativity, teamwork, exploration and most importantly smiles!
Have a lovely weekend!
